Meet the inspiration for The Meadows Tiny House
Opening in 2027 for short-term stays in Eastern North Carolina, the Tiny House takes its look and spirit from the fully restored 1970s Scholz Mark 60 that sits on the same property.
The Tiny House, up close
The Meadows Tiny House is a small retreat on the same land as the Mark 60, designed to carry its lines, light and warmth into a space made for one or two.
Drawing inspiration from the property's renovated main residence, your retreat offers an intimate, design-forward experience. It's the perfect blend of vintage soul and modern function, sized just right for couples, solo travelers, or anyone seeking a distinctive home base.

Rendition, final unit may vary.
A quiet, light-filled hideaway of warm wood and clean lines, made for slowing down.
Scholz Homes was founded in Toledo, Ohio, and shipped its designs as precut kits across the country. Ours landed in North Carolina.
Donald Scholz introduced the Mark 60 in 1960: a prefabricated, L-shaped modern home shaped by the ideas of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe. The Meadows is a 1970s example of the model, restored and lived in.
The design emphasizes indoor-outdoor living with floor-to-ceiling glass walls.
One of the few Scholz Mark 60s still standing. Step inside and you can feel why.
